Writing the Ultimate Thailand Travel Guide 2025

Thailand Travel Guide 2025

This week, we’ve gone all in on a project that’s been brewing since we touched down in Phuket; a full, honest, no-fluff Thailand Travel Guide 2025.

Not just a round-up or a list of tourist spots, but a full-on guide packed with personal stories, real advice, and hard-earned tips from three unforgettable weeks exploring jungles, islands, temples, and night markets.

Here’s what we’ve been building behind the scenes.

Our Most In-Depth Guide Yet

We’re pulling together everything from our 22-day trip across Kata, Ao Nang, Koh Samui, Khao Sok, and Kamala; not just what we saw and did, but what it felt like to be there. From the chaos of temple dogs lunging at Lauren (she’s fine!) to the serenity of floating on Cheow Lan Lake, it’s all in there.

This isn’t your typical travel guide. We’ve woven in:

  • Emotional moments that caught us off guard

  • Candid reviews of every hotel we stayed at

  • Alternative accommodation options for different styles and budgets

  • Real costs in Thai baht with conversions into pounds, dollars, and euros

  • Travel tips based on actual experience, not guesswork

Every page is designed to help you plan smarter and travel deeper, with a little Bucket List Bound spirit woven through it all.

Rewriting Our Thailand Story

Writing the guide has meant reliving every moment of the trip, the laughs, the stress, the tuk-tuks, the smoothies, and the wide-eyed moments we’ll never forget. And it’s reminded us why Thailand is probably our favourite place we’ve ever been.

We’ve shared what went right, what went sideways, and what we learned along the way. That includes honest takes on the places we visited, whether we’d go back, and how we felt being in such a vibrant, welcoming, and sometimes overwhelming country.

New Video in the Works: Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve

While the guide’s been our main focus, we’ve also started work on our next YouTube travel vlog, a powerful, personal look at our time at the Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve.

This was one of the most emotional stops of the entire trip. Seeing these rescued elephants up close, learning their stories, and sharing space with them left a real mark on both of us. The video’s shaping up to be something pretty special, a blend of raw honesty, beautiful moments, and real connection.

What’s Coming Next

Next week, we’ll be continuing to work on the Thailand guide, editing the Hidden Forest video, and preparing some new content for our blog and website.

We’ve also been laying the groundwork for more affiliate travel links, so when we recommend tours or places to stay, you’ll know it’s coming from real experience (and if you book through us, it helps support the channel at no extra cost).

Thanks again for being part of this journey. Whether you’ve found us through YouTube, the blog, or by total accident while searching for wild pigs in Thailand… we’re glad you’re here.

Until next week, Steve & Lauren 🧡
