We’ve officially launched our Bucket List Bound website, designed a brand-new logo, recorded a voiceover in a jungle treehouse (almost), and taken our first steps into travel affiliate marketing. All in a week where one of us was battling a travel cold and the other was chasing new career goals. Here’s what’s been going on behind the scenes.
Website Launch and Branding Refresh
This week marked a major milestone, the official launch of our travel blog and Bucket List Bound website. Built from scratch, we’ve crafted a space where you can dive deeper into our travel vlogs, read our storytelling-packed blog posts, and get inspiration for your own bucket list adventures.
We also designed a new travel logo that better reflects our style, bold, bright, a little bit quirky, and ready for adventure. You’ll start seeing it on the site, our YouTube thumbnails, and (eventually) maybe even some merch…
Khao Sok Voiceover and Video Progress
We’ve been deep in post-production for our next YouTube travel vlog, a cinematic dive into the incredible Khao Sok National Park. This week, we finalised the video script and recorded the full voiceover narration, a process that always takes longer than we expect (and involves more retakes and laughing fits than we’d like to admit).
This video blends floating bungalows, emotional storytelling, and jaw-dropping scenery. We can’t wait to share it with you.
Affiliate Programme Progress
We’ve taken our first steps into affiliate marketing for travel content creators this week too. We’ve now joined the GetYourGuide affiliate programme, giving us a way to recommend trusted tours and experiences we’ve personally enjoyed and help support the channel when you book through our links. We’ve also applied to the Booking.com affiliate programme, so soon we’ll be able to share links to the accommodation we’ve actually stayed in, from jungle resorts to beachside hideaways.
Real Life Update: Cold and Goals
Of course, life doesn’t stop when you’re creating. Steve’s been powering through a travel cold picked up on the journey back from work trip to Budapest (pro tip: always carry tissues and electrolytes). Meanwhile, Lauren’s been working quietly but fiercely on a new goal that’s got her fired up and focused.
What’s Coming Next
Next week we’ll be diving into editing the Khao Sok vlog, continuing to expand our affiliate toolkit, and maybe even starting our next blog series. If you haven’t already, check out our latest travel posts and subscribe to our Bucket List Bound YouTube channel for the latest videos.
Thanks for following our journey as we build this dream one voiceover, one late-night thumbnail, and one wild pig encounter at a time.
